Process of sewing a dress!

This was my first attempt at the Tilly and the Buttons Indigo dress. I French seamed the whole thing (including the pockets somehow!!).

1
The finished dress! There are no buttons on this version so it has to be slightly loose, it’s very comfy and the instructions are nice and clear.

I didn’t take a photo but first trace and cut you pattern pieces to the desired size. The pin (or use weights) each pattern piece to your chosen fabric, with the help of your furry friend of course! Once I take the paper off I mark the ‘right side’ of the fabric with a small piece of post-it pinned on, that way I don’t mix them up.

More furry friend help!

A seam ripper is your best friend!

Turns out I didn’t take that many photos of the sewing process for this dress, I’ll do a better step by step on my next project!
