Vinnie Caruana, singer from The Movielife did a solo gig in London last summer. About 50 of us upstairs in a Camden pub, singing every word with him.

Went to San Francisco in 2011 and stumbled across a market just off Columbus Avenue behind City Lights Books. Saw a superb live set on the street by a guy with an acoustic and his friend playing a three-piece drum kit. Sounded like Bob Dylan. They were so good, I chatted with them after and stayed in touch. Ordered some merch when I got home and it came with a lovely handwritten note.

This Annuals tee has been washed every month for over a decade. Why? To try and wash out the blood! I slipped once in a nightclub and landed on glass. The police stopped me on my way home because I was soaked with blood. They called an ambulance who found glass in my elbow. Two weeks later, back in hospital, more glass was found still in there. I have a photo of that night but I’ll spare you the gore 🩸 Anyway check out Annuals, a beautiful harpsicore, alt indie act with soaring strings and nature sounds like water and birds.
