Arda Asena (1992, Istanbul) His practice engages the themes of gender, memory, and trauma. He focuses on the connection and disconnection between mind and body, attending to the ways that social and psychological stresses of a repressive society may affect one’s physicality. Through his work, he attempts to explore alienation from visceral experiences of sexuality and be an audience to his unknown.
